| "Not
the usual", was what Fynn and Gladys had in mind as they brainstormed
with Doddie L. Roman, their wedding director. Floral arrangements
forming an arch were hung from the choir loft above the Basilica's
main door. The aisle was elegantly decorated with flowers
and eight golden birdcages with real live parakeets. The wedding
rings were not propped on a cushion but attached to a golden
arrow instead. The arrhae were loose 18th century Spanish
silver coins. |

Gladys
was seen as a bride for the first time as the church
doors slowly opened. With a radiant smile, she marched
to the altar as "The Promise" was played by the eight-piece
Bernie Pasamba string orchestra. Her Swarovski crystal-studded
matte gold dress and matching gold tulle veil were created
by Richard Papa.
